Beauty Emerging

I was once a young woman
I was very beautiful
But I didn’t realise it
I was super sexy
And taken advantage of for it
I was anxious and insecure
Afraid I would make another mistake
Never be accepted
Lost in the peril of trying to prove I was good enough
Am I an old woman now?
I still have loads of energy
I love to laugh and be silly
I’m pretty fucking wise
But sometimes that doesn’t make up for the face I now see in the mirror
I awoke the other morning with a little jingle in my head that has become my theme song…
I’ve got to live, live, live like I want to
I’ve fot to love, love, love until I care
I’ve got to find a way to enjoy every day
That’s the way to love my life
