Who says all snacks are unhealthy? I sure don’t. Today, you can try 2 of my favorite snack recipes that keep my family happy and not feel deprived.
The No-bake Coconut Sweet Balls or Homemade Doritos-style chips are easy to make using only a few ingredients.

Homemade Doritos-style chips
Ingredients
- 5 tbsp red lentil or chickpea flour
- 250 ml water room temperature
- 1 tsp salt, garlic powder and / or red paprika, time, chili whatever you like!
Instructions
- Over medium-high heat, preheat a 6-inch non-stick skillet.
- In a medium size mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients.
- Gradually add water, blending well.
- Pour 1/3 cup batter into pre-heated pan. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the crepe looks mat all over. Flip the crepe and cook for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Continue cooking the crepes until you have no more batter.
- Slice the crepes in triangles, like pizza slices.
- Heat oven to 180°C.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread out the chips.
- Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes (depending on the thickness).
Serving Suggestions
- Serve with guacamole, hummus, cheese, or any spread you like.
Notes

No Bake Coconut Sweet Balls
Ingredients
- 1 cup ground almonds
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- 3/4 cup tahini or any other paste/butter like peanut butter, coconut cream, almond butter, etc.
- 2-3 tbsp honey
Instructions
- In a glass bowl, mix all ingredients together.
- Roll a tablespoon worth of the coconut mixture into balls.
- Roll each ball in shredded coconut and chill in the fridge before serving. Enjoy!
