The Butterfly Effect

I created 2 hoops for the project Emerging One Year On, organised by Ascend Charity.

The large hoop presents Our Broken World, repaired with stitch and gold, like Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery.
The gold in my work represents the Light within us.

The Butterfly Effect shows us that everything is connected and that one small change, like the appearance of a virus can lead to a tsunami of events that change everything. 

Succumbing to fear and leaving our future in the hands of others makes us powerless and dependent.

Daily meditation can help us to change that.

The smaller hoop, showing three chrysalises, presents my hope that more people will embrace meditation in their lives.

So we can all start seeing things more clearly, rise above our fears and emerge as confident, positive human beings, ready to heal and repair Our World to the best of our abilities.
